Yet another fantastic Trans-MISSION turn-out, with just short of 200 revellers enjoying the freedom of a Bank Holiday weekend to come and party LARGE. Just to fool you all, Vicky donned blonde hair and went unrecognised, whilst door-girl Sarah decided to get all maid-up...
We thought we would try and get a distinguished guest to provide this month's picture commentary, but the agency that supplies us with these things mistook distinguished for 'very old indeed' and so this month we hand over to Jebediah F. Petherington, Kettering's oldest resident...

My goodness, what a lot of young fillies we see here. Reminds me of The Alhambra in Northampton circa 1926

	All that cleavage on show, it can't be good for you. Catch a cold like that.
	They tell me that it was this girl's birthday. She doesn't know the meaning of the word, you don't until you've had at least 90.
	Isn't that that Princess Stephanie of Monaco. I need my monacle to check.
	Can't seem to find the blessed thing. Oh, another picture, hang on these are coming too quickly for me
	Wait a minute, you young folk have to do everything so fast. Now in my day we let our elders muse over each picture for an hour or more.
	Mind you we didn't have cameras like you have today. We used to have to wait for the photographicist to position the pin-hole and wait for the sun to be in the right place.
	Sometimes we'd have to stand all day to wait for the plate to set, especially if it was cloudy. Found my monacle, now back to these infernal pictures. Why I offered to do this I don't know. 'Good for Kettering's image' they told me.
	No, it wasn't Princess Stephanie. So many pictures, and all of lovely ladies. In my day you wouldn't see so many ladies without their menfolk. Just isn't right.
	Must be time for my afternoon nap now? And how's about a cup of tea and a nice slice of Victoria cake? Where's the maid when you need her?
	No cake? What kind of place is this? WHAT? A club for transistors? Valves is what you need, nice glow you get off them.
Thanks Jebediah. We really need to have a word with the agency. Valves indeed? What were they thinking?
