Tue, 5 January 2010 A Frantastic New Year Transgender band 'The Frantastics' have a residency at the uber trendy 'Bistrotheque', located in Bethnal Green, London, every Friday and Saturday for the whole of January. Showtime is 9pm, and then again at 10pm )i.e. two half hour spots, making one hour in total). There's an award winning and inexpensive 'Modern British' restaurant upstairs and a cocktail bar open until Midnight in the room next to showroom, book diner and it's £5 off the show! Time Out has this to say of the band, "Billed as Elvis and Cash in frocks, The Frantastics are the stars of the apparently burgeoning subgenre of frockabilly - transsexual country rock with stilettos in place of cowboy boots. Yee ha, y'all!" So why not get the New Year off to a flying start and go and join the fun. Lead singer Frances tells us, "It would be wonderful to be heckled by some friends, however beware, as I shall have my retorts ready and as you know, I'm as sharp as any blunt instrument!" Dr. Spiegel holds academic appointments in the Departments of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery and Plastic Surgery at the Boston University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. His practice specialises in Facial Feminization Surgery (FFS) and over 80% of his patients travel to Boston for their surgery including many patients from the UK and Europe. The event will begin at 10:00am with a lecture with consultations starting at 11:15am. A Frantastic New Year

My name's Rose and I'm an MA journalism student at London College of Fashion. I'm currently working on a photography book about various London women and their style, and I would like to get in touch with a transvestite or transexual woman that would like to to take part.

The photographs would be taken by a professional photographer and the model would be able keep the prints. We are looking for unique and interesting londoners, and I think you guys at Trans-Mission may know some very stylish and unique women who would be perfect for this.
